Beginners looking wanting a WHS handicap & social players welcome
Monday Moaners
Meet for a social game, various members will book tees from around 9.50 am – 10.20 am.
‘Balls in hat’ will determine your 4 ball.
If there’s a competition on that day, you can enter if you wish and use the MM’s tee times.
There’s normally a ‘swindle ‘ running, but this is voluntary, no need to join, but make it clear you are NOT involved beforehand.
Please follow the swindle rules if you are joining.
Wednesday Boys
This get together is open to both men and lady golfers. On days when there is a qualifying competition you can still enter your name on the the start sheet but then play in the qualifier which will be a roll-up competition.
If there is an AS competition that day you must play to the rules of the competition.
Wednesday Boys is a bit more organised with tees available from 9.00 am to 10.30. These are currently allocated by the organiser.
If you are a new member or a member wanting to get a handicap you are particularly welcome.
There’s normally a ‘swindle ‘ running but this is voluntary, no need to join, but make it clear you are NOT involved beforehand.
Please follow the swindle rules if you are joining.
Swindle Rules
On Mondays & Wednesdays there is a £3. swindle run by the players.
It is voluntary – you do not have to enter to play in these groups – but please make it clear if you are not entering before you go out.
The swindle cost £3.00 cash per event
You need to have a valid WHS handicap
If you are in the swindle and there is an AS competition running that day, you are expected to enter the comp or enter a GP card. That way all swindle players are playing to the rules of golf. (exceptions will be when the competition is for Vets when you may age restricted)
Cash Pay-outs are organised by the players, when all the group is back at the 19th hole. If you cannot wait, leave your £3.00 and scores with another player and you will be paid out when we next meet up.
Prizes are given for 1st & 2nd places & best F9 & B9, with no player able to win more that 1 prize, large groups places will increase to 3rd, 4th etc.. There is a fixed sheet for calculating prize funds. Tied places will share the pot.
